A Cobb County woman was sentenced to at least 10 years in prison for beating her three children.

Senobia Manya Flemister was found guilty of 11 of 12 counts of child cruelty, aggravated battery and mental cruelty. She was accused of whipping three of her children so severely that they suffered permanent physical scars, according to Kathy Watkins, a spokeswoman in the Cobb County District Attorney's Office.

Flemister was arrested on Nov. 14, 2009.

Judge Ruben Green sentenced Flemister to 20 years, at least 10 of which must be served in prison.

Its funny how people have a lot to say based on what ever the media puts out...I nor anyone else posting know the REAL facts surrounding this case but you all know the media does not report the gospel truth, and if you think so, then you are more ignorant than your comments sound. Lastly, SO WHAT if those ladies are family/friends of this lady! Perhaps they have a better understanding of what may have been going on with her children.

Diana I dont know you but I can relate to a mark or two from trying to run from a butt whipping that I deserved. You know some ppl dont believe in discipline they would rather do time-out as if that works.

wow. Diana and Karen, no secret that you are friends or family of Ms. Flemister. Yes, corporal punishment is legal, but causing permanent scars on them is not. Ever wonder WHY the kids were acting out?

James you are truly ignorant! Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. First of all know the facts before you judge fool! 2nd, it was Cobb Co. and she was a black female (that speaks volume all on its on). 3rd, she was conflicted by 11 men and 1 female. (Definitely not a representation of her peers). Im sorry "time out" does not work for everyone. When your kid is stealing from you and the teachers and lying and doing all kinds of craziness, a belt (which is all she used) is much needed. Lastly, what is going to be interesting is that the State took her children and put them in foster care to be abused (we all know foster care sucks) and lets see what kind of productive adults they end up becoming from the State's inference in a parent whipping her child! By the way James, corporal punishment is legal in Georgia and I dont know an adult out there who doesnt still have a mark or 2 from a switch or belt and appreciated that their parent cared enough!

Know what your talking about before you talk...how you make someone do that kind of time for trying to keep her kids in line the best way she knew how at the time. not saying that it was all done right but you a school calling you all day complaining that the boys are doing everthing under the sun not one school but every school they have been in. you have men rape kids and dont get time like that how can one county give you one child back and then cobb say that your unfit!!!

I hope she gets daily beating in jail. Every woman in that prison needs to take turns whipping her butt. I hate abusive parents. Child and animal abuse are the most disgusting things that a person can do. Only a coward would hit someone that can't defend themselves. May she rot in hell.
