A 15-year-old boy is accused of using an assault rifle to kill his pastor father and other family members in their home last night, police have said.

The suspect, who was identified as Nehemiah Griego, was arrested shortly after the shooting at the Albuquerque, New Mexico, home.

Inside, police found the five victims - a man, woman, two girls and a boy - who were each shot multiple times.

One of the victims was identified as Gregory Griego, the alleged shooter's father and a former pastor at the Calvary Albuquerque church.

The church confirmed Mr Griego's death to MailOnline on Sunday.

Investigators also were seeking to determine who owned several guns that were found at the home, one of which was a semi-automatic military-style rifle.

The juvenile suspect was charged this morning with two counts of murder, and three counts of child abuse resulting in death, according to the station.

Each victim was shot multiple times, authorities said.

The shooting comes just over a month after gunman Adam Lanza slaughtered 20 schoolchildren and seven women - including his own mother - in Newtown, Connecticut.

So it's only assault rifles that have a sole use for killing. I guess handguns are great for scratching your ear, stirring your martinis, and changing your babies diapers? Or -----shooting and killing people. What a surprise ---NOT.

Cindy,

A report has stated that the home-schooled teen was actually not allowed to play video games or watch violent t.v. shows. Get your facts straight.

However, I do agree that some of these games out there should not be so accessible to anyone in our society, let alone our youth. It's all a part of the plan to train kids from an early age how to use these violent weapons for when the real attackers come....the Annunaki!!!

Notice that video games are involved here. It seems as though all of these mass murderers are in to gaming. I say ban violent video games and parents stop using them as babysitters!

Hitler registered all guns...then systematically murdered 7 million Jews because they couldn't defend themselves. Stalin confiscated all guns in Russia, then systematically murdered 20 million of his own Countrymen because they couldn't defend themselves, Mao Tse Tung confiscated all guns, then systematically murdered millions of his own Countrymen...see the pattern? Probably not...
