Smiling suspect Margaux Tocci, 19, held in N.J. ambush beating of ex-boyfriend

The woman who lured her ex-boyfriend to a beating with a baseball bat and pipe showed not a bit of remorse in her mug shot, which shows her grinning from ear to ear, even as her bloodied former flame received stitches for head injuries.
Margaux Tocci, 19, of Wycoff, N.J. invited her ex-boyfriend for a ride in her new car, according to Gothamist. The former couple drove to the Lincoln Elementary School in Ridgefield Park where Tocci suggested they take a late-night walk.
As they strolled around the schoolyard, two young men emerged from the shadows and attacked Tocci's ex-boyfriend. They pummeled the victim with a baseball bat and a pipe. He suffered severe blows to the head.
The two assailants - Daniel A. Chaupiz, 20, and an unidentified man - removed money from his wallet and smashed his cell phone on the ground before escaping with Tocci in her car.
The battered young man walked over to a nearby house on Lucas Lane. The homeowner, greeted by a bloodied nineteen-year-old at his doorstep, dialed 911 around 10:24 pm, reports NJ.com.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for stitches, as officers searched for Tocci. Authorities found Tocci in her vehicle parked on Franklin Avenue around 3 a.m. Chaupiz was arrested later that day.
Officers brought Tocci and Chaupiz to Bergen County Jail in Hackensack. Tocci's bail is set at $50,000 bail. Chaupiz's bail is set at $100,000. She faces robbery charges. He faces robbery and aggravated assault charges, reports The Record.
Tocci was uncooperative with the police and provided no information concerning the attackers.
Chief Benjamin Fox of the Wyckoff police said that detectives are still searching for the second aggressor.
