Teenage Boy Cody Riddle Drowns In Boone Lake

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. -- A teenager is dead after a camping trip on Boone Lake with friends. It happened on an island near Boone Lake Marina in Sullivan County.

The Sullivan County Sheriff's Department has released several facts about the investigation. They tell us 14-year-old Cody Riddle from Erwin was camping on the island with friends. He was last seen around 3 a.m. Saturday morning.

Officers tell News 5 his friend's parents first noticed him missing at 6 a.m. and called authorities when they still could not find him at 10 a.m.

The dive team was called in at 3 p.m. this afternoon, his body was found in about 10 feet of water. Officers say his family told investigators he could not swim. The investigation is ongoing, but officers say it does not not appear suspicious.

So you're getting assumptions from 8th graders in school and using them to try and validate your argument?

I have no argument...other than why would a boy who cannot swim go into the water at 3 am in the morning? unless he was hit on the head or drugged, or something like that?

Debra,

I was not saying it was your boys. I only have first names of Josh and Brandon, and evidently, Josh is really guilty!

How would you have the names when the only name mentioned in the newspaper was Cody Riddle's?

Well, gg ,let me answer for you. Brandon won't say anthing because he was not there and has never been there and as for Josh, instead of commenting, why don't you ask him? Do not associate my sons as to having anything to do with this tragic accident. We have never heard nor met Cody Riddle.
