A bodacious surfer showed off her skills when she tackled 11ft-high waves - in the middle of a desert.
These stunning images were taken as Sally Fitzgibbons put her body through its paces in a specially designed wave pool built in the scorching Arabian desert.
The Australian braved the 50 degree heat to pull off difficult tricks in the promotional stunt in the Wadi Adventure pool - the first man-made whitewater rafting, kayaking and surf centre in the Middle East.
Built 140km from the coast, the centre is capable of making 11ft-high waves every 90 seconds.
Top surfer Sally, 21, who finished a close second in this year's Women's World Tour surfing competition, said: 'It's a wild experience sitting in the scorching hot desert in a pool staring at this concrete wall waiting for your next wave to fire out at you.

'It definitely brought to life one of those dreams you have when you're a grom [beginner surfer] - endless amounts of waves all to yourself.'
The stunt, sponsored by drinks' giant Redbull, marks the start of a five-part series of web videos featuring the Sally.

Wadi Adventure, owned by Tamouth - a development arm of the Abu Dhabi government - opened this year and boasts more than 1,200 yards of whitewater rafting and kayaking runs.
The surf pool is also capable of producing different conditions from smaller surf to giant waves and different directions, including a close out, when a right and left travelling wave come together.
It holds 22 million gallons of water and has ten chambers that hold the water and discharge in sequence depending on the style of wave.
